Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Camacho Recycling ("Camacho Recycling," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at camachorecycling.us, contact us, visit our recycling centers, or use our Daily Log mobile application (the "App"). By using our website, services, or App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

When you visit our website

Our website is primarily informational. We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to browse it. If you contact us using the phone number or email address listed on the site, we will receive whatever information you choose to share with us (such as your name, phone number, email, and the contents of your message). Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and basic analytics.

When you visit our recycling centers

When you redeem California Redemption Value (CRV) beverage containers with us, we record transaction information required to operate our business and comply with state recycling regulations. This may include the materials and weights recycled, the amount paid, the date and location, and — where required — your name and signature confirming the transaction (see Section 4).

When our staff use the Daily Log App

The Daily Log App is an internal tool used by authorized Camacho Recycling staff to record daily operations. Accounts are issued by an administrator. Through the App we collect:

The App does not access your camera or photo library, does not include advertising, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

3. Location data

The Daily Log App requests device location only while the App is in use, and only from authorized staff devices. Location is used to automatically select the nearest certified recycling site so the correct site name, address, and certification number are attached to a log sheet. Staff can decline the location permission and select a site manually; location is a convenience, not a requirement to use the App. We do not use this location data for advertising and do not sell it.

4. Customer names & signatures

When you recycle with us, we may collect your name and an on-screen signature as a record that a transaction took place and that payment was received. This information is collected for recordkeeping, fraud prevention, and compliance with recycling-program requirements. We retain these records for as long as required by law and our business needs, and we do not sell them or use them for marketing.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, and recycling-program recordkeeping requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. App data is protected by authenticated sign-in and stored with our cloud provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights & choices

You may contact us at any time to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to request deletion, subject to our legal and recordkeeping obligations. To make a request, use the contact details in Section 12. On your mobile device, you can also control or revoke the App's location permission at any time through your device settings.

9. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any of your rights, contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Children's privacy

Our website, services, and App are intended for a general and business audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of our website, services, or App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact us
